I just saw a hell of a commercial while watching the junos. I had to watch it over and over a few times on the PVR just to see if I was hallucinating.
Announcer-tired of worrying about feminine odour? stop buying products that mask the problems with perfumes. instead, try rephresh...after your period.
girl one-rephresh
announcer-after intimacy
girl two-rephresh
announcer-after DOUCHING
girl three-(cheerfully) rephresh
announcer-fight feminine odour with PH balanced rephresh.
I've officially seen it all.

You know you're getting older when you're surprised some people don't know who Triumph is.
And I don't think I'm even that old.

I was the guitarist for the Musican thing (young Jazz musicians). What a cool night! I got to meet Feist and Russell Peters... and Michael Buble, who is actually a really nice guy.

NO DOUBT. You know it's a sad state of affairs when Anne Murray is up for an award in the pop category.
I may be waaaay out of the loop, but do you guys actually like that Michael Buble guy? They were marketing him like some super popular pop artist who everyone should know and love, but honestly, I don't know anyone who actually listens to him. How'd he win the Fans Choice award?

My sister went with my cousins and said they saw Dion there Nothing too exciting, but like she said, normally you go to the Dome to see him and the Flames, but when you're seperated by glass, security, fans, etc. etc. Then the one time you're not there for hockey, they saw him anyway, haha

I was pretty dissapointed with the Junos this year. Didn't think we'd get Hedley, Jully Black and Ann Murray shoved down our throats so much. Seriously, Anne Murray? Has she even done anything significant in a decade? Only Canada can make Anne Murray a star. Barf.
Bunch of no-names on this show as well... this show, for some reason, gave me a bad vibe. Maybe it was the crappy production value as seen on TV, or the lack of some other big-name Canadian stars, such as the Hip, Billy Talent, Sum 41, GWAR (lol)... whoever. This just seemed to be a popularity contest for whoever is currently hot in music. Good for Feist, but aside from her, the show was pretty terrible, IMO.
Why can't they have American / international stars show up as well? They don't have to win any awards, but their mere presence would give the show some street cred.
Anything is better than a two-hour snoozefest with Anne Murray. Anything. GWAR should have came in and sacrificed her to the World Maggot. That would have made the show infinitely more interesting.

Didn't like the Hedley performance?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBsg5qMEiAw
I thought it was really good, way better than the Hoggard amateur town **** at the 2006 Junos.
But then again I'm a big time Hedley fan.

I thought the Rainbow Butt Monkeys' performance was pretty brutal. And the lyrics for that song are ridiculous.

is it really suprising that the lyrics for a song are ridiculous given their band name? Didn't watch which song was it?

That "Paralyzer" song I keep hearing on the radio. Good music, brutal lyrics.

Wait--what? Finger Eleven has gone back to being the Rainbow Butt Monkeys. I saw them in concert at the CNE in 1996 when they were still called Rainbow Butt Monkeys.

No, you are the type of young person he was talking about. You see, Triumph was a rock band from the 80's. They had a hit with a cover of "Rocky Mountain Way". You hear it on CJAY all the time. We're not talking about the unfunny Ed the Sock ripoff.

Haha oh man, I dont know whether I should be embarassed, or relieved that I'm not old enough yet to know pop culture icons that the youngins have never heard of. I'm clearly off the ball today, I took Dunlop's comment at face value. Obviously I didnt watch the show, good ol crammin for finals...
