Peters has changed under new ownership. They're scrimping on the toppings. Not the same ol' sloppy mess they used to be.

I don't think Fat Burger qualifies as fast food. The 2 times i have been there it took about as long as a regular sit down meal at about the same cost. Overall i don't think lack of table service qualifies a restaurant as fast food, at some point speedy delivery needs to factor into the equation.

You mean, Could Be Beef. That place is a ripoff. They jacked up the price, and have smaller proportion sizes. Barely any meat on it compared to 2 years ago.

I work in a mall so I get a lot of fast-food.. Note to self insert possible New Year's Resolution here.
Opa! - outstanding, I could eat it 'til I pop!
Manchu Wok I can handle, although like the above it can be pricey.
Also, I don't know whether it's out here only, but Nando's Chicken (think burgers, kebabs & wings rather than fried) is outstanding.

I see KFC is listed quite often, obviously you have never had Popeye's Chicken and Biscuits...
My faves:
1. Popeye's
2. Del Taco
3. Wendy's
4. Taco Bell
5. Popeye's again because it is sooo good

As a vegetarian, my choices for fast food are limited. Not much on the menu at KFC for me.
#1) Mr. Sub. Unfortunately there are only 3 or 4 in all of Ottawa, and a big fat zero in all of Kanata where I live. But whenever I'm in proximity of one, I'll definitely stop in.
#2) Does Pizza Hut count? They aren't exactly FAST... But that new 3-cheese explosion is really, REALLY good.
#3) Harveys - the only burger place I can go to. But I really like their burgers... and my cousin works at one so he'll let me get a swiss mushroom melt with a veggie burger.
#4) Subway - I like their veggie patty subs, and their breakfast sandwiches are much, much better than Tim Hortons.

Burger Inn has a non-meat patty that ain't bad...
My top ten...
1. Peters Drive-In
2. Burger Inn
3. Fatburger (may be slow-ish, but hard to describe a burger joint as a "sit down restaurant")
4. Keith's Deli
5. Mr. Sub (Quiznos is god awful, and Subway ain't much better)
6. Burger King (Whopper is the best fast food burger of the big chains by far)
7. Opa!
8. Bourbon Street Grill
9. Wendy's
10. Dino Rosa's

Some under-rated burger joints:
Giant Burger on 17th Ave SW
Boogie Burger on Edmonton Trail - have the pizza burger with an egg added
Extreme Burger in Westgate Mall - have the mozza burger
Burger Burger downtown in Esso Plaza.
I love me some burgers.
Can we also get some love for Chicken on the Way.
MMmmmmmmmmmmmmm fritters.

I don't really have discriminating tastes when it comes to fast food. I pretty much like them all, except for Taco Bell and KFC. I will not eat at either of those places.

For some reason both seem very poorly kept now - owned by the same parent company - but I don't understand why they all seem so dirty. Ick.

Ha... funny to see that place mentioned here as it is such a total hole in the wall. Have been there a couple of times. Last time was at lunch. The buffet was almost empty and cold, the guy went back to the kitchen and I could hear the microwave running, then he came out with some more food to add to the buffet.
