After hearing how much AT&T is paying Apple per iPhone per month, its no wonders Rogers is shying away from it. I wouldnt be surprised if they never brought it into Canada and just simply allowed the pirated versions in.

Yah, Apple is making a killing on every phone they sell, and every contract AT&T signs.

Apple receives a whopping $18 per month from AT&T for each iPhone customer. That adds up to $432 for each two-year contract, or, including the price of the phone, $831 per iPhone.

To me it makes alot more sense for Rogers to never officially endorse it.

That way they dont have to deal with the naming issue and as the only GSM provider in Canada, they have no competition who could sign it out from under them.

I am waiting on a data plan more similar to the AT&T one before I will get the iPhone. I have no problem with $100 per month cost, but I dont want to be paying $200+ for it per month.
