The problem is that there was no warning. Yes, there are racy shows on TV in the US...but people are aware of what is going to be shown beforehand. With this, you have 9 year old boys sitting down to watch the GAME with Dad and instead they are watching something completely different.
If that's prudish, you probably don't have children.

Should they have a disclaimer before every condom commercial? Every tampon commercial? Every erectile disfunction commercial?
The world is getting too regulated if you ask me

Much ado about nothing.
Those "Desperate Housewives" show has a lot more innuedo and skin, and those are promoted within the same game.
Plus, the random closeups of the cheerleaders on a regular basis in MNF games can prvoke the same questions from kids to parents about scantily clad women....and I see no furor every week about ABC showing cheerleaders.

You are out to lunch dis... period.
Have you even watched the commericals during MNF? 10x worse than a woman jumping into Terrel Owens arms. Lets see we can have scantily clad women in beer commericals, Viagra, Levertra ads, Herbals essences commericals, heck even the M&Ms commericals showing women in bras (which is way worse than a womans bare back).
THERE IS NO WARNING BEFORE THOSE ONES!
Do you let your kid goto the beach?
How about watching MTV?
How about letting them even look at CD covers in HMV?
Seriously I dont know how you can even justify this garbage, if you cared about your kid so much you wouldnt be watching MNF or you would be shielding his eyes during all of the commericals.

People have waaaaaaaaaaay too much time on their hands. If you are worried about your children watching that, maybe they should be in bed by 4 every day. I honestly can't believe the crap people complain about these days.

I read your next post, but the fact that you would even post the first comment is stupid. I don't care if you are a Utah Mormon, if you were offended by that, you have issues with TV in general and you shouldn't even be watching MNF.
To even stick up for these people dis is stupid.

Here's a simple solution if you don't want your kids watching that stuff.
DON'T LET THEM WATCH TV
It's a win-win situation. Your kids don't see the "bad" programming, and TV isn't ruined for the rest of us. Growing up, I had quite a few friends who didn't have cable. They also grew up to be the "smarter" ones, but completely lacked street/common sense.
God forbid we let our children find out what sex is. Could you imagine what would happen?

The FCC is just on powertrip right now. That clip was no big deal. You see a woman's bare back all the time in shampoo or soap commercials.

I know my six-year-old son had a couple of questions as to what was wrong with the woman in the shampoo ad who was having a "truly organic experience."

Whoa. A little overboard on the attack I would say.
These people are entitled to their opinion as much as you are.
And I dont think the issue is about a womans bare back. If you watch the promo and listened to the dialogue, I think you would be able to figure that out.
Regardless, it offended some people who did not expect to see a sexual inuendo opening to a football game.
Right or wrong its their opinion. Leave it at that.

and you are still incapable of understanding my stance on it. What a surprise.
Again...for the third time now....it would not be an issue in my house. How many times will you suggest that I was offended?
and for the record....and since you introduced the verbage.....I would say suggesting that commercials during that program are 100X worse than that lead in is kind of stupid. 100 X worse? That's a pretty fair exaggeration.

It's funny how something like this is considered offensive, yet kids are constantly bombarded with sexual inuendo all the time. Turn on MTV or MM any time, and you can watch Britney Spears grind and moan half naked on stage about being a "slave" for crying out load. Not that I care really, but it's just wierd how people pick and choose what is and is not acceptable in this regard. Where's the logic?
