Really hope he can give the fans in hamilton something to cheer about. Their good fans and have had to put up with a brutal team for the past few years. sports suck when you lose all the time.

Being a Chiefs fan I wasn't sad to see him go. According to everything I have read during training camp the past two years. He was probably the most athletic QB at Chiefs camp. He allways excelled at the footwork drills. One of his biggest problems was handling the snap from the center. He dropped the snap in practice & scrimmage repeatedly. Doing it at crucial times in preseason games was the icing on the cake for him. One would think that something as simple as that could be fixed with practice and concentration. Will be interesting to see if he can hang onto the CFL ball any easier than the NFL ball.

didn't he only have 1 turnover in preseason though?

i read through a thread on a kc website and many of them were saying it was a bonehead move of the coaching staff to let him go. Myself, I don't have any idea because I don't follow the NFL that closely to know how he did down there.

He fumbled the snap on the goal line near the end of the fourth quarter with the chance to be the hero. He did the same thing in practice, and they pointed it out on Hard Knocks.

$500,000 a year for 3 years. the highest payed player in the league...wow, what do you guys think. imo it is an overpayment considering its been 2 years since he played in the cfl, but the potential is there. this will help hamilton alot but they need to make sure they play disciplined or it wont matter. i really hope hamilton can turn it up and make a race out of it.

I think this will be good for Hamilton. Maas is absolutley terrible and Chang just needs some more time. He will turn into a pretty good QB in a year or two.

However, they paid too much for him. They need to take some of that cash and spend it on a better HC. That tool calling the shots for Hamilton will destroy anything good that can happen there just like Chang can be good except for the way that his coach treats him with the mind games doesn't help his development at all. Mind you, if Maas wasn't so bad at QB none of this would matter right now.

On another note, I can't believe some people would want to trade Burris straight up for Maas. As iffy as our QB can be, he is 10 times the QB Maas will ever be!

Printers is easily in the Top 3 in the CFL for QBs, and just spent the last 2 years playing in the most talented football league in the world, against bigger, stronger, faster and meaner guys... plus he has CFL experience and was very impressive. Paying $500k to secure him is a no-brainer for Hamilton, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Stamps offered close as well, as Printers is a superior QB to Burris (and you may as well trade Burris when his value is high)... Hamilton will definitely make it interesting.
