Tiger is just unbelievable to watch in my mind anyways. After watching him I just can't believe one person can dominate like he does. It always seems that whenever there is pressure on him he can go to another level. He was on today with his putter and his shot making. Some interesting stats by ESPN http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/pgach...bob&id=2969547

The most interesting one I find is him holding onto the lead after 36 holes, 7-0, I hope we haven't jinxed him. This should set up an interesting weekend. I'm hoping he can have another tremendous round tomorrow, also go Ames!

Just an inhuman round of golf from Tiger yesterday. When you combine the heat, the course and the fact this is a major...it may be one of the greatest rounds ever played. If this happened on Sunday, it WOULD be the greatest round ever played.

hard to see anyone keeping pace with him this weekend if he continues....but as is the case with this game, your biggest enemy is often yourself.

Should be a great watch either way.

Going to have to be a mixture of a semi-Tiger collapse and someone else playing one of the rounds of their lives for the rest of today/tomorrow to make this thing interesting.

Austin now within 3, but you still don't get the feeling Tiger is losing his grip on the lead or anything.

At least Ames is in line for a nice payday.

tiger is in that zone where a 6 foot slider becomes an easy roll-in. i actually don't like watching it because of the way that the commentatoes are, it's too much.

I'd love to see ames and woods in the final pairing tomorrow...

Who would you cheer for?

Tiger's chase towards history has me saying go woods go, but I just spent a week teaching Stephen Ame's kids how to play hockey...his family is so down to earth despite Stephen's success...I'm gonna have to go with Ames

No question..........Ames.

I realize his chances are pretty much zero, but I'd rather see a Canadian win a huge tournament rather than Tiger win one another of many.

He's so good and wins so many it's boring.

If Ames were to somehow play out-of-this-world golf and/or have Tiger fall back down to Earth it would make it a much more interesting round versus what I feel will actually happen........Tiger pulling away tomorrow and winning with ease.

Yea yesterday wasn't much better...they cut off to watch CFL the second woods missed his putt for 62.

That said, TSN does a great job overall and kicks the crap out of Sportsnet.

If I was putting money on a player it would be Tiger, however I will be cheering for Ames as this is his best chance to win a Major and Tiger will be rocking out a ton more! However if Ames wins I want it to be because he outplays Tiger, not Tiger blowing a gasket (which will never happen anyways).

Another reason is a dislike Mike Weir and it would be nice to see Ames do well so people can stop talking about Weirs major he won how long ago now? I hate how TSN talks about it like it happened last week and he always has a chance because he won once.

Tiger has the mental toughness that most golfers lack. Still you gotta root for Ames and hope he stays close to make it interesting.

And your right about Weir, too much focus on the guy. Head to head i'll take Ames any day.

20 minutes before the final pairing tee-off. I am actually excited to watch this final round. It has been a long time since that has happen.

I really do hope it comes down to the final holes, there is nothing worse than it basically being over before the final 9. Damn you Tigger just choke a little will you

I'm headed to the gym to watch this while using the treadmill. Providing Ames doesn't have a melt down, this should be a great final round

I've definitely never been so excited to watch a round of golf...Ames actually deserves this win, he's been a solid player all season and this could be his time.

Say what you want about his track record with Tiger, his comments show that he's not afraid to go toe to toe with the guy...Wier would, and has, melted under this type of pressure.

Cheering for golf sure is different than cheering for hockey...

Well it looks like Ames needs to relax a bit, two tee shots that have gone a bit to the left.
