Oktoberfest in Munich

Do they still do the tour of the BMW factory in Munich? I was there in 1995 and they had a free tour of the factory which was way better than the BMW museum. The Deutsch Museum is also pretty cool too. I really enjoyed Munich as a city and have been there twice, should be a lot of fun during Oktoberfest.

depends. I've booked in advance very occasionally, usually if it involves a tight connection that I really want to make, or if for some reason I really wanted a first class seat or something. usually just winging it is fine, particularly if you are ok with standing or cramming in for a short trip if necessary
