It is funny that all the petroleum industry apologists bring things like this up.
How do those considerable emissions compare to the emissions created when drilling oil, or worse, all that giant machinery and electricity used to extract oil from the oilsands (not to mention the ecological mess it is making). I imagine these things aren't exactly emission free:

Add on to that the emissions involved in transporting that crude somewhere to get refined.
Refining oil into gas seems like it would require a fair amount of energy as well? Where does that energy come from?
Then factor in the emissions used to transport gas to the gas stations.
I am sure all that is nothing though compared to all the energy that must be used to build DA's windmills.
I would guess that by the time gas gets into your tank, it has already generated more emissions than DA would create riding his scooter for a year.
