^this is the 2007 winter recreation guide...take a look around pages 91-98, those are some of the learn to skate programs that some of the city rinks are offering.

the only programs that i can find for people 16 and older are:

Learn to Skate 16 Yrs+ Level 1
For adults who would like to learn to skate and need to start from the beginning. SKills include balance, posture, 2 foot jumps, snowplow stops, forwards and backwards skating and gliding.

Learn to Skate 16 Yrs+ Level 2
For adults with some skating experience or who have taken Level 1. Develop skills in backwards skating and forwards crossovers.

alot of the times though, not all the programs are listed in the book, so i would suggest to call a rink and ask them about their programs, because they must have more programs then those two.

I've been meaning to find a good power skating thing for adults. Guys that play shinny regularly, but want to be quicker, with better balance. I'm tired of being one of the slowest skaters on the team.
