Either it is a hell of a coincidence and I was about to get a megacold, or the damn thing set me off.

What the hell? Anyone else have this reaction? or is it a coincidence?

I have never heard of them giving a flu shot while you had a sniffle or some other health issue. Did you tell them about your sniffle? I think that is the problem. It is my understanding that if you are sick, you are to wait until you convalesce before you get your flu shot.

You poosy/girly man.

It's a dead vaccine so you can't get sick from it. What you are feeling is your body trying to fight the foreign body injected into you.

My girlfriend is a flu nurse. I got the flu shot and felt like crap about 4 hours later then was fine the next day.

Yeah, that was my experience too--I kind of felt run-down, like I was getting over.... well... the flu. I felt fine after a good night's sleep.

I think another thing people forget is that often what they think is the flu is actually a bad cold, which is altogether different, and not something that you can be vaccinated for.

For you? I recommend a ringette ring for an artificial transplant.

I am by no means, a medical doctor, but from the sounds of it, you could have a Norwalk Virus (norovirus), which symptoms include severe diarrhea and vomiting. It is a wretched illnesss my wife came down with several years ago, (prior to meeting her). The wife of one of my professors got it when I was in University.
