If anyone can try and guess where I'm from please don't.....

I won't state where I think you were born, but is it 300km north of Calgary, and does it suck big time? [/b][/quote]

Born and raised in Wallasey, England (near Liverpool).
Now living just up the road in Red Deer, since 1992.
I'm proud to call myself English, British, and now an adopted Canadian. My kids have all been born here, as was my wife. It's a great country.

I am from a country that no longer exists in a world atlas. I was born in Zaire, which now goes by the name of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Oh, and I'm not African in the traditional sense of being negroid. But I do love the Flames.

I was born in Calgary in 79, and have lived here since except for one year in Houston Texas shortly after I was born. Fell in love with the Flames during their 86 run, though I collected hockey cards and cheered for them even a few years before that.
As for my nationality, I always just say 'Canadian' because my family on both sides has been here for three maybe four generations (counting mine). My mom's side is mostly Ukrainian, tiny bit Polish, and my dad's side is a real mix. He give us new information each time we talk to him. Most Eastern European I think.

I was born in Toronto in 1971, and lived there until last year when I moved to Calgary. I am still kicking myself for not moving here sooner.

I was born in Kalispell, Montana. Parents were divorced when I was 5 and as a result, I bounced around a lot between them...so here's the places I lived in order....
Kalispell, Montana, Colorado Springs, CO, Ft. Dix, NJ, Motnrose, CO, Kalispell again, Grand Junction, CO, Parachute, CO, Wellington, KS, Grand Junction again, Parachute again, Wellington again, Parachute again, Lake Forest, CA, Kalispell again, Lake Forest again, Kalispell again and finally Wichita, KS. (well not finally because I'm leaving this town someday).
Both my kids were born in Kalispell. My wife was as well, but moved to Houston, BC when she was a few months old and grew up there. Her family lives in Houston and Williams Lake.
As for my heritage, my Mom's side is Irish and French (among other things like everyone) both branches of her family have been in North America for hundreds of years.
My Dad's side is german and german-russian. By german russian I mean germans who lived in Russia. They didn't come to the US until late 1800's.
My Mom has reasearched her family history extensively and I plan to take that over at some point. Lots of interesting stuff she's found. I love genealogy.

Born and raised in Calgary, I'm actually a 3rd generation Calgarian on my dad's side. My family needs to move around a bit more. Anyway my background is a giant mix of Dutch, German, Russian, Ukrainian, English and French. Well you could also throw some "American" in there as I had relatives who fought in the American Revolution and the Civil War. I'm a mutt, plain and simple.
