I'm sure there will be a lot of excited young women in the wake of the Usher concert, so have a blast.
Ya, with an average age of 14! :biglaff:

I don't see the point in travelling somewhere, and ending up at the peelers. You can do that in Calgary if you wanted. Nightclubs yes... but peelers?

Strip-clubs, whatever. Not my thing. I was making a comment on duncan's encyclopedic knowledge of the peeler joints in the area. I thought it was kind of funny.
Spent far too much time in metro and Golden Horseshoe area, between school, work and sports. Not very encyclopedic,, I can't remember the names of the two on Lundy's Lane. Over about 15 years, I was in the Zanzibar about 5x, it was decent (clean) and the girls were attractive, with a wide range of race and ethnic backgrounds. The Brass Rail, I was in twice, it is closer to a 'Gentlemen's club', lots of peroxide blondes and surgical enhancement. The Lundy's clubs, I was only in once, but they were packed, and the dancers were all attractive and plentiful. I haven't been in the Niagara establishments in 7-8 years, and probably the same for the Brass Rail, the Zanz I was at in April, when I was in TO at a convention. I responded to the guys question with what knowledge I had. There are probably 75-100 peeler bars in Toronto- Niagara corridor, I only know 6 or 7, sorry to disappoint you. I am sooo glad you contributed to the post, and helped add to the guys knowledge of the area, you were very informative.

I don't know...the women in my office have a thing for Usher. Not being the hip-hop type, I thought at first they were talking about David Usher. But it's gotta be the guy's abs that gets the ladies' motors running.

I'm mostly through with strip joints, but I don't understand all the negative talk. Women dance naked there! Also, they're on a different level in Toronto than in Calgary.

Also to do in Toronto...walk along Queen Street West and check out all the stores/characters/bars, etc. You'll also pass MuchMusic.

Go to the Hockey Hall of Fame

Also go to Paupers pub on Bloor Street, Downtown.

The day manager is from Calgary and a big Flames fan.

Paupers Pub..ask for Jeff

I met Usher and his posse when he was making a movie in Calgary in 1999. Not really a big fan but I had good conversations with him and his people. I have some pictures, autographs etc.

He "lost" a really big diamond earring in Brooks.

Thanks for all the help guys!!! It looks like the overwelming consensus is that I should check out Niagara Falls, which I will now.

The reason I asked about the strip clubs was because if the TO peelers were like Montreal's, then I would check it out for a night. But since you guys are saying its more comparable to Calgary, then I will not be visiting the peelers since the strip clubs in Calgary dont' really do it for me either

I am still wondering about the night clubs in TO. Any other suggestions besides The Guvernment???

Money was pretty fun when I was there, I liked it alot better than the Guvernment (although I did have an attractive female security guard pat me down there  )

If you are going to Niagra, believe it or not you can actually have some fun spending a night in Buffalo. The bars are non-smoking and last call is at 4am. Edit: And its so cheap! Hotels, bars, everything is cheap in Buffalo.

Yes, I found a night out in Buffalo was MUCH cheaper than in Toronto, even when the exchange rate was worse than it is now.

Wayne Gretzky's.. good memorabilia, average food. If you are a big fan of 99, go see it. If not, there's plenty of his crap at the HHOF.. I am heading to the Big Smoke in a couple of weeks. I plan on taking a sticker I made with the names of all Flames and coaches etc and putting it on the Cup over the area where the Dolts are engraved... at least temporarily while I snap a photo...

Well here is some info that will hopefully help you out a bit. Basically you can find something good in the Richmond Entertainment District. But, if you need a rundown on what clubs might be good, here it is, depending on the nights.

Friday
The Guvernment
Lucid (with DJ Starting from Scratch - One of the best Canada has to offer)
Oxygen
Seven

Saturday
Steam Nightclub
Jade( My pic)
Chocolate Lounge(over 21)
Inside Lounge(not sure if it is still there)

Sunday

Phoenix
Ocean

Hopefully the concert is a blast too. You will have alot of fun in Toronto, trust me. The nice things about it all is the women. The quality of women in Toronto is probably one of the best in Canada, with the exception of Montreal. You will see far more ladies(quality looking ones) in T.O. than here in Calgary thats for sure. Its almost like a one for one ratio for guys to gals, unlike here, where we as males outnumber women by a large margin.

You also will not find the kind of crap that happens here in Calgary, with respect to racism in the clubs. Toronto is so diverse and open minded that there is very little of that type of screening as there is in Calgary. Unlike Calgary, where alot of clubs will in fact base someone on their color, in T.O., it rarely occurs. As long as you adhere to the dresscodes of the particular club, you will get in. Whereas here, they claim its a dresscode issue, but we whom have experienced first hand that is not the case, as there are clubs here where you may be dressed nice, but still get denied entry.

The clubs that I have listed here all play the type of music that you are fond of. You will hear stuff that is not even played here in Calgary yet, but that is the beauty of it. Bottom line, is that you should have a blast in T.O. The nightlife if definitely much more exciting than here, and very entertaining to say the least.
