I'll second this. I have a friend who lives in the area, so this was my first experience with this donair place. Their donairs are delicious and well worth the commute.

Try the Shawarma King on 17 Ave SE and 38 St.
It just opened in March and is great. Go for the lamb. I was a little intimidated but it was great

If you're in the NW, Al's Pizza in Ranchlands makes a great donair. The owner is Lebanese so he knows his stuff.

Donair King is freaking amazing. It's on 12th Avenue and 12th Street SW. Excellent ingredients (ie: pickled cabbage) and fresh too. They absolutely load the thing with meat and they grill them too. The price is awesome too, where else can you get lunch and a pop for around six or seven bucks.

Someone mentioned A&A's for shawarma being on 20th St. and 20th Ave NW.. I drove past it this afternoon, it's 20th Ave and 13th St NW. I plan on trying it next week once I'm back from Texas.

Anton's Pizza has suprisingly good ones. It's a pizza place in West Springs. They're not huge my any means but there's tons of meat and the sauce is like no other. It's like regular donair sauce on steroids, they add hot sauce to it.
They also have a Donair Pizza which is fricken awesome.

A&A is good, but a little on the pricy side. Plus, I cant be botherered to put up with their 'antics'.
A&A is better than the donair king, but will have to try some of these other ones.
How about you, Neeper, did you try any of em yet?
I'm surprised KG hasnt piped up about one yet...

I decided to try the two most popular downtown locations in this thread, Pita Basket and Amin’s Donair. Both were really quite good, but the nod goes to Amin’s.
After patiently waiting for Amin to return from his vacation, I can now comment on his fabulous donairs. I was there last Thursday, just before the big lunch rush. If you're into asthetics, this place ain't for you. Kind of hole-in-the-wall but that's okay with me.
I got a large donair, usually most donair shops a large isn't too big. I was very impressed with Amin's, there was so much frickin meat in there, the pita was not even close to being wrapped all around the meat.
So that was pretty cool, sweet sauce was ok, hot sauce was nice, apparently they have two kinds of hot sauce, one extremely hot and one so-so, I got the milder one.
I get the standard tomato and onion fixings. Used to get lettuce, but I find it takes away too much from the overall donair taste.
Best part? Cheap like borscht, something like 5 bucks for a large donair that would be way more than enough for the average guy.
Thanks to all for the suggestions, much appreciated!

The Hungry Sultan in Falconridge is pretty good. I don't like My Donair. Uncle Moe's also sucks ass.
