The early seasons and especially the last season of Frasier was utter crap. That is one of if not the most overrated shows ever.

I do agree with you on the CSI point. I used to enjoy CSI: Miami but the novelty has worn off on me. One question I do have though is if Horatio is supposed to be a CSI investigator why is he always leading the investigation and interrogating witnesses and such? Shouldn't he be focusing on the evidence and letting the detectives do the other stuff?
I loved the early seasons of Frasier. The rest I wasn't a big fan of though as it got a little old. My favorite sitcom and most underrated sitcom of all time in my opinion was Newsradio. It was great when it started out, but after the death of Phil Hartman, it never really recovered which was very sad.

Man, that show was amazing with the kinds of things they did early on. And even later, they had hilarious episodes like when the entire Newsradio station turned into the Titanic.

There isn't one worthy sitcom left on TV. The writing is just so bad in all of them. None of them have any real heart. I loved how the old sitcoms could also use drama and make you feel for the characters. Frasier was the last of that breed.
The sitcom is definetely on the decline, but there are a few solid ones hanging around.

That 70's show and Scrubs come to mind, although I don't know how many years that 70's show has left. It worries me that show like 'My wife and kids' and 'Yes, Dear' can hang along for so long.

Has anybody ever seen 'Corner Gas'? I hear it is actually a very good show but I have yet to catch an episode. The fact it's on CBC has me wary.

And Newsradio was a really good sitcom despite having Andy Dick on the show. How it managed to do that is beyond me.

CSI while it does have a lot of ummm fake effects and technologies which are used at the same time there is a great deal of truth that goes into the technologies that they use. I know this because I am studying all this crap in school and I have family members that work in the crime scene investigation thing.

However most of the job involves looking at beer bottles and trying to find fingerprints that would lead to an individual being arrested. And that is no easy task to say the least, as well there isn't a computer that you can just plug in fingerprints and it will come up with a match on the spot. In a perfect world that would be the case, but as I am sure everyone knows this is not a perfect world.

Also, I think that people can take television to seriously. I will sit down and watch a show, but at the same time it seems odd to me that some people would start thinking that this is the way in which things actually work in the real world. The boob tube should be used for entertainment, not as a tool to reach a higher lever or to achieve self-actualization or whatever some people use it as.

Corner Gas is on CTV by the way, not a bad show. I have seen a couple episodes. And even though it has Brent Butt in it (or at least I think that is his name) it is quite funny. Not something I go out of my way to watch, but still entertaining.

That 70's Show really isn't that funny anymore, it has it's moments, but they seem to be few and far between and it doesn't seem as though anything has really changed. Eric does something that his dad thinks is wrong, is called a dumbass, and gets threatened to get a kick in the ass. Steven acts like a badass, but in the end he is a good guy. Kelso does something stupid, etc, etc. Some laughs but nothing along the lines of what used to be great shows in Fraiser, Cheers, Married With Children and the like.

I can't stand C.S.I. why is it so popular and why do so many people just swallow the stuff so liberally? How did this thing spawn so many spinoffs???
The thing I hate about CSI is that all of the Crime Scene Investigators behave like they are cops. They go on raids, they question suspects, they serve warrants... Aren't those the thing police officers do? Don't crime scene investigators collect forensic evidence and conduct forensic analysis? :wwf:

I also hate how they use 'magic' software to zoom in to 1000% on low resolution images (i.e. security camera footage) and all of a sudden the 150 pixel per square inch image transforms into a 4800 pixel per square inch image with perfect clarity even though it was poorly rendered to start with...

I've been watching Joey, all the shows on TGIF, CSI New York, Charmed, Blue Comedy Show and the list goes on.
