The book lists (with maps and directions) dozens of day trips from Calgary, all under a 2 hour drive. I recommend it.

Spend a day/afternoon...it really is a beautiful facility, and it'd certainly be a hit with daughters because they get to go look at "ponies".

As a getaway from Stampede Week, the North American is next weekend and there will be tons of stuff to do out there.
