Hey it was a mistake, don't try some pathetic ploy to try to paint me as some redneck.

When talking about comprehensive healthcare systems it would make sense to assume I was talking about western nations. With the exception of a few Asian nations such as Signapore and Japan, they only exist in the west.

Just curious Peter, how does the US rate in there? Also is Russia included?

The reason I ask is sometimes the size of our country has an effect on some of those types of numbers. For example sometimes it isn't easy to get to medical attention because of the distance to the hospital.

Russia and the US aren't included in the study. It's probably fair to say that with them included Canada would rank more favourable in comparison.

But the numbers are pretty stark. Poor rankings for professionals and technology. Size of a country doesn't affect those to a large degree.

Reliable and up to date data was not available for the US from 2005.

Here's the citation for the study if you want it.

Esmail and Walker 2005. Yes, it's a Fraser study.
