They teach Poli Sci at Mount Royal? If so, I have taken the UofC equivalent in my first year. Really easy, but boring.

Is that what you took?

The internship program is weird. Nima is a prick and will only assist you if your job is with a company that isn't already on his list of clients, or is in a "sexy" *rubs belly, burps* locale like Japan or Europe.

Plus, you are taking a hit in your earning power for a year to gain some experience. Dollar today is worth more than a dollar tomorrow, yes, but if you graduate one year sooner you'll be making 10-20% more. I have never actually worked out which option is more valuable economically but it has always been a question that bothered me.

But on the other hand, when you are graduating, companies like to see that you have experience, and if you do, you can negotiate a better salary/benefits than someone that has no experience at all... especially so if you are returning to the same position.

U of A Engineering, 1st year, 3 finals left. 3 ridiculous finals. Stream TBD by how I do on these finals.

Yeah, I am at Carleton. It is a good program for the most part. Very strict and very stressful.
