I am a fair sized Hip fan, but have never seen them in concert...maybe I will go this year. Didn't hear that they were coming.

The new disc I loved instantly. In Violet Light took me a couple listens, but In Between Evolution is a great record. Gus, and Vaccination Scar are classic hip songs.

I think the new CD is very good. I never heard much of the last CD, so I can't comment on that. This may be heresy, but I think the early CDs are over-rated, and the recent CDs are under-rated. They seem to me to be better musicians and song-writers now. That, and the fact that the older material is ruined for me given the amount of over-play on Canadian radio.
