Seems like an awesome guy, wish him well, happy he got his bag.
Probably hard to be a shootout specialist on a team that usually loses the game far before it gets to that point.

What were his unique circumstances?

Fan favourite status, shootout heroics & genuine utility as a shootout specialist, recovering from ACL surgery and Bill Masterson-like backstory. It's pretty unique

Morton should fill that void based on position and his performance in the AHL. I would like to see Gridin season a bit more in the AHL so that his next call up might just be his last.

Dryden Hunt outscoring Gridin and Morton
nice memes though
I know I know his age its just funny, not to mention the one time he was called up it was to sit in the pressbox on a one game road trip

I would love to see Stromgren up for a few games throughout the season to get him ready for the increase in performance necessary, but overall I think Kerins needs a more consistent time up, mostly to see of he can hang and is worth the added time investment. I think he would have been a totally different player if he was up more consistent last year.
If he cannot perform up there, time to make a move for another younger player that can.

In years past a Hunt call up was annoying. You knew what player you were getting, there was no potential upside or “next level” to his game, so the younger guys were blocked.
If it ends up being Hunt now, who cares? He isnt the cause of or solution to any of this teams problems. Just another warm body to play until Mckenna time.

Maybe becsuse so many Wranglers deserve call-ups they have a wheel of justice to spin on the back of Huskas door?
Great to hear Wranglers are kicking ass

Sad for Justin, he's very likeable, but there are players that could benefit more from the ice time.

Sure everyone should get a chance, but he hasn't had a goal yet in the AHL this season, would be nice if he did come up and get a hat trick, it would also be nice if I won the lottery.

No time for skating when you have hockey games to play. Just get right in there and make stuff happen!

No point having a shootout specialist when you keep losing in regulation.

I bought one of them "retirement tickets". I won! I can't figure out how to retire off of my $2 windfall though.
