Will be excited to see the trades start to happen. I do like pretty much all of the vets but I’m ready to see Parekh, Coronato, Zary, Gridin, Honzek and Brz and Frost in overtime instead of Kadri, Andersson, Backlund and Weegar. I like all those vets but I’m just ready to turn the page and see this as a young team. If you watch the last 10 minutes of every game, you would not think this is a young team. The ice time is mostly dominated by 30+ year olds.

Right, because according to Royle9, Sec214, and every insider in the media, they have just been refusing even to answer the phone and there is no trade talk going on AT ALL.

It hurts now, but the losing is necessary.

Flames losses are like wisdom teeth

Even when they play well and deserve to win, they don't get the bounces. Sometimes it just isn't your year.

When you're going into the game dead last with a .227 points percentage, there's no such thing as a goal against that you can't afford. What'll it do, make you even dead-laster?

I blame Huska. If he keeps Bean, Weeger and Coronato on the bench, that goal doesn't happen.

There is a different vibe this season. Last year the Flames were scoring timely goals and clamping down with the lead to find extra points in close games.

2 wins in October.

Stutzle also rang iron right after the Sens made it 2-2.

As they say, that's hockey.

Last season they finished on a 11-2-3 heater.

Reality is starting to set in for me. It's not happening again with this group.

If they can trade Kadri, Coleman and Andersson for futures they should bottom out this year and next with back to back top 5 picks in the McKenna/Dupont drafts. Add that, plus the returns from the above trades and the Vegas pick, to the pretty solid prospect pool we already have, should start turning the corner back to contention by 2027/28.

The look like the bad news bears in their own zone this year.

Last year they were fortunate to come out on top of most 1 goal games (only lost 2 in regulation)

This year they've come out on the other side of the equation in 1 goal games, sometimes that's how things go.
