Goddammit! Such a great guy. I am pretty indifferent about most media personalities, but Leslie is the best. He seems like such a nice guy, always has great stories and is a great interviewer. Congrats to him with this opportunity, and he'll be missed here by a lot of people I think.

You can tell the players just love him too.

Is Ryan originally from Ontario? For some reason I feel like he is, so perhaps he’s headed home as well. If so, that’s great for him.

Rick Ball and Ryan Leslie are class acts. To lose them both in consecutive seasons are major blows to the Flames broadcast product.

I wish Ryan all the best in the world, because he has always delivered us a quality, professional and fun product. The players really seemed to like him, I remember him recounting the story of Gaudreau turning up to his son's school - it was such a moving story.

Ryan is fantastic at his job and makes it look effortless, which likely means he works very hard at it.

Toronto will love him.

Congratulations to Ryan - big promotion that is well deserved! Great guy who does a great job.

But a huge loss for Flames fans. I feel like the broadcasts have gotten more generic with Rick Ball gone, and now we are losing the other best thing about them, with Ryan. I fully expect the broadcasts will now fully devolve into listless, generic, Sportsnet propaganda, without a single redeeming thing about them for Flames fans to feel good about.

Really happy for Ryan. He comes across as a solid guy, and clearly, is well-liked. When the Flames are out of the picture, the Leafs are a team I cheer for so at least Ryan will be on those broadcasts now. I recall Ryan and Tre being very close and I'd bet Brad helped push this through to completion starting with intros.
