I would argue that with the seasons both are having, Stromgren or Morten should at least get a sniff before the Hunt experiment continues. The upside each player has alone should warrant a cup of coffee this season if for no other reason than for player and team to fully gauge where they're at.

Call up Stromgren and not a 29 year old with no long term future with this team.

Dude seemed to love Hunt last year like MacTavish used to use Toby Peterson.

Hunt is loved by coaches wherever he goes because he usually plays on the right side of the puck and is trusted out there.



However, I would prefer a Stromgren call-up at this point. These kids need to start getting some minutes up in the NHL to help with their development IMO.

You can't tank when you have a great goalie. But they can still make the season more valuable by focusing on development. Give them a taste of the NHL, let's see what they've got. Sink or swim with the young guys. There is no point in playing guys like Rooney, Hunt, Bishop, Hanley and Barrie - the Flames aren't winning the cup, and these guys aren't moving the needle anyway.

So focus on development, and let the chips fall where they may. Then, regardless of outcome, the organization has had a successful year.
