Hope Pospisil is okay. The way he hit the boards didn't look great.
We got a power play goal in 4 straight games.
Huberdeau with a 2 point night, and a bunch of other passes that were terrific.
Zary should've had a goal there.
I really liked the start, and most of the game for Mangiapane.
The refs are a joke. First giving Greer a penalty that lead to that 4 on 4 then call a penalty on Hanifin to make it a 4 on 3. An attempt to take the Mangiapane goal away, with a no-goal call on the ice, and then the BS with Zary's goal.
The 3rd pairing and 4th line hurt the team this game, especially when they faced the big boys like the Matthews line.
We were running around in the 2nd after the Leafs took the lead, hopefully they iron some of that defensive coverage out before the Oilers game.
I hated the amount of Leafs fans in the building, the MVP chant, and all the hats on the ice. I'm glad they got Tre as the GM now, hopefully he'll make similar decisions to what he did in CGY.
It was fun watching the rivalry and chirping between Andersson and Gio this game.
The smug look on his face while they were reviewing it was enough that my non-hockey friends commented on it at the bar we were at.
The smug look was because he already knew what call the Command Centre would make before the call was even challenged. Let’s face it, the outcome of this game was determined before the opening face off.
I'm ok with the hand-pass goal coming back as far as the rules go... however I question the ability to call a timeout first in order to decide and then challenge the goal.
Teams should have a set amount of time to make the decision to challenge or not.
Disagree on both counts. Teams should have to spend a timeout if they want any more time than what would normally be used to drop the puck between goals. If you are stalling for a video coach decision by waiving the ref over and humming and hawing etc. They should drop the puck and give you a delay of game penalty.
The call itself was horse ####. A grazing of a glove does not constitute a hand pass.

Don’t forget that the Flames’ defenceman were tripped just prior to two of the Leafs’ goals.

There’s nothing wrong with that part of the challenge cording to the rules.
A timeout is not required to initiate a challenge, you just can’t unnecessarily delay the game. They are allowed to call their timeout there, and the challenge just has to be initiated before the play starts again.
You are allowed to challenge calls even after you have already lost a challenge. The penalty for second and following lost challenges is a double minor penalty.
LOL, serious? The whole D is buttery soft! 2/3 of the D-corpse is JayBo/Butler soft! Cripes, they're in their own zone leaving the goalie at his mercy!
