Lots of road games to start but it doesn't seem like the stiffest of competition either

Interesting concept for sure to try, but, screws up the various networks (especially Snet) lead in from each game their other shows.

So I've had some time to process. I'm extremely not happy about the first game I'd reasonably attend is the latter half of No-freaking-vember.
I'm gonna be sour about this for a while as it's been a while now I've thought I'd use points to fly myself and my son out so he could experience the Saddledome before the new rink is built. I didn't want to go in the middle of the winter, I'd prefer the weather to be a bit nicer for him to see and experience Calgary a bit.
November 18
Still mad.
Anyway, checked Aeroplan and a hotel for the 18th. Looking at points for airfare, taxes/fees and a hotel for the 18th, it'd be $430 for the two of us.
Flames don't have individual tickets up yet, which is fine. But does anyone know what the pricing structure is? I *highly* doubt this trip will come to fruition but I'm curious none-the-less.

Why is that an early HNIC game? That is whacked out for it to be a month into the season to have a weekend home game.

It's the first one. I was hoping to fly out early to mid October when the weather wouldn't be hovering around freezing.

Probably win the opener, as usual.

$430 is pretty good for two people! Are you planning to do anything else besides go to the Flames game? If not, the weather doesn't really matter much. Definitely worth checking out the library during the day if you haven't seen it yet and the weather's bad.

Haven't seen the library, but I would want to check it out. My plan would be Calgary Tower, the big giant head outside the Bow, going on the C-Train, and seeing the Peace Bridge.
Perhaps swinging by SAIT and U of C to visit some old colleagues.
I've been to Calgary a couple of times, but it'd be about showing my 6 year old around. I wouldn't be as fun in the cold is the thing.

Check out Gimps Flames playoff van, worth the trip alone

Not sure if this is OK here, but the Hitmen also put out their schedule today...they show all home games as being at the Saddledome. More doubleheader days with the Wranglers?
