I may go crazy one day when I do a renovation and add a commercial grade bar style "glass washer" They are expensive but your literally doing dishes in 90 seconds. You need to have the chemicals that are commercial grade and they need to be hidden but it's worth it.
The other consideration is the steam that they give out as they are washing, sanitizing and drying too. Can't just place them anywhere and warp your counters etc.

Same here and the Miele is excellent. I'd say my wife settled in the other categories!

Miele is excellent, but man do you have to load that thing in Germanic fashion. Everything must be perfect.
I think I watched a Bob Viela episode on This Old Home and he was doing a reno and put two dishwashers in. This is key! Two dishwashers literally lets you clean while you have guests or a dinner party right before their eyes without them knowing.
Key thing when buying a dishwasher is make sure it has a basin for water in case drainage issues.
Bosch is the poor mans Miele. They work excellent.

If you're not in a panic to get it and have access to Perkopolis through your employer, you can get some VERY smoking, staff and partner discounts on Bosch dishwashers and appliances. We ordered a dishwasher last week at almost 40% less than anywhere else. On top of the employee discounts, they currently have an additional 10% off offer on most, if not all dishwashers. Many, including ours, aren't in stock so we'll have to wait a while. For a deal like that though we can wait.
If you can't get Perkopolis through an employer, it's also available through Canadian Tire's roadside assistance, which by the way is a free perk if you have a CT World Elite card. There is a thread on this over at redflagdeals.com if going that route.

I forgot to add Maytag to my list. I've read some decent things about their dishwashers.
Bosch always seems to be a favorite which might be the way to go.

Have you considered Cash Corner? Get yourself a Puerto Rican or maybe even an El Salvadoran?
I kid, I kid. We have a Bosch and have had Whirlpool in the past, for our money the Bosch is fantastic, never had a better dishwasher but we've also never gone one up on the appliance scale to the Miele, so I cant comment.

Had a Bosch for a long time and it's been great.

100% bosch. Just stick to the non-crappy Chinese made models. More expensive but way better reliability, etc. There's a cutoff (700 or 800 series, been a while) where they step up to being non-Chinese made. Lower end 300s and Ascentas were the cheapo Chinese ones.

We bought an LG and love it so far. No issues, quiet and cheaper than Bosch.

Replaced the KitchenAid dishwasher in my last house with a Bosch 800 series 44dB model. Thing did a phenomenal job at washing the dishes and was whisper quiet.
Bosch all the way.
