They’d all be signing ELC so cap is rarely an issue.

It’s not a cheap shot it’s the truth, the guy looked like he was going to work out well he was feeding Jagr goals left and right and was the leading scorer in the KHL prior to signing with the Flames.

He had nothing but bad things to say about the Flames when he left, how he was treated and how they forced him into a role he didn’t want if I recall. I remember he was upset the Flames pushed to bring him over telling him he’d be perfect in the top 6 and then healthy scratching him a bunch.

I’m trying to find the article.

He played 2 more seasons in KHL putting up roughly .60 ppg and also doing well internationally for Czechia.

The lockout hurt him for sure, and the blood clot issue put him back timeline wise but I am certain he specifically outed the flames for the way he was treated.

Even worse! They thought he was a C but he was a winger.

I thought it was a little more nuanced than that. That basically he played centre offensively but did not have any of the typical defensive responsibilities that a centre in the NHL has.

Yes his mean NHL coach asked him to play both ends of the ice.
