Grim. And just what happened to the Kings as Sutter ground the "play harder" message home, year after year.
This is no good. It's Gulutzan hockey, stationary winger at the blue line accepts hot-potato pass from defenceman and chips it.... nowhere.
Awful.
Like the broadcast crew said, these are two mediocre teams, and the difference in standings is Minnesota has won a pile of OT stuff and Calgary has lost a pile of OT stuff. Coaching is a big deal here.
But talent is probably the real issue, and it's a mid grade team and there's no magic-bullet type answers. Probably doesn't matter a ton who the coach is, although you get the feeling the players are not that happy with the current system or coaching message.

I think the team just didn't have it tonight because they know the season is now lost. Hard to battle after how the four games prior went. Not sure it was all coaching tonight.
