Safeway had $10 off stickers on fresh turkeys that were best before today or tomorrow. Got a 6 kg bird that was $40 for $30, so I figured that was good enough to pull the trigger on.

Also do a wet salt water brine on the turkey....tried it for the first time this year, and I'm never cooking another turkey without brining first.

East Hills costco has their turkeys $25 off, so some of the smaller ones are very cheap.

I saw some 5-7 kg fresh turkeys for like $15 at Safeway Crowfoot yesterday. Didn't look at the expiry date though
