Seriously they need to win this one to close the gap with the Oilers. Considering how bad the Flames have been, the Oilers just keep leaving the door open for the Flames to catch and pass them.

I think I'm going to skip this game. This team is so boring.

This team is a conundrum for me now. Do I avoid all media until my kids go down and I can watch the game as I have always done, or sneak a peak at the score to see if it's a waste of my time/mental health.

This has never been an issue until this year's team.

Yeah, I'm considering taking a break too.

Like I said after the Columbus game, this team can be a real chore to watch even when they end up winning.

When you've written 80+ game stories for x number of year you don't get breaks!

Speaking of which ... at a xmas party tonight so it will be a Saturday morning game story on an 11-1 win.

There isn't anything wrong with taking a break if the team is making you unhappy. I took off the last of the Gulutzan era as I couldn't stand that hockey. This feels different to me and I still think this team can figure things out, but I definitely came back to the team with a more positive outlook on the games after the time off while Gulutzan was here.

Markstrom gets the start. Game is officially skippable.

I love this team but they're so damn frustrating to watch. I'll go down with the ship while the rest of you bob up and down in your lifeboats.
Go Flames Go!

Like the lines. Don't like missing Tanev. Hope he gets well soon.

Wasn’t everyone looking for this line. Put him with shooters
Hard to be optimistic but atleast Sutter changed things up

Can we make it to OT without falling behind by 2 goals in the first 5 minutes? Go Flames

Thankfully he broke up Toffoli and Huberdeau. You’d think Huberdeau a passer would work well with Kadri who is more selfish and a decent puck carrier.

Don’t love Markstrom in again and Phillips out again. I suppose they want to give Lucic a chance for redemption but not expecting anything out of that fourth line

I still think we are missing the most natural pairing of Dube and Huberdeau.

Dube could provide the speed and hard nose that Huberdeau has been missing this year, similar to Duclair in hubey's record setting season last year.

Mackey-Stone. Oof. That’s an ugly pairing.

Also glad they have Lucic back in. I bet there is still bad blood felt by St. Louis towards Kadri so having Looch out there is a big benefit and deterrent should they try to target him.
