Come on boys, that's due for a massive correction soon, no?
They need some lucky bounces. Then their confidence will return, and the offensive creativity will start to flow.

No question. LA is currently sitting 2nd in the Pacific, 4 games over .500. The Flames are 5th, flat at .500.

A regulation win for the Flames and those numbers go to 3 and 1, putting the Flames 1 game behind LAK in baseball terms.

But a LAK win in regulation pushes those numbers to 5 and -1, giving the Kings a 3 game lead, a nice buffer, and confidence that they can stay ahead of the Flames.

It isn't going to decide who makes the playoffs (still 4 months of hockey, regardless of what happens), but it is going to go a long way towards dictating where these teams are, and where they believe they are, in the standings.

Cheese - can I make a suggestion?

Again, these GDT threads are absolutely top drawer and I thank you again for taking the time to make them!

In the Team Stats section, would it be possible to add a decimal place for Goals For and Against? Every team has 3 point something, so with no decimal place, there is no useful perspective.

Also, with respect to Shooting Percentage, every team is around 10, so showing it out of 100 has little perspective. Is it possible to show it out of, say 20?

Thank you in advance, whether doable or not.

I mean…this certainly isn’t the greatest way to start a 9 year relationship…

Classic Francis leaving off the last part of the quote.

Lindholm hasn't been great for most games so far. Need to stop seeing his line as the default first line.
If anything Backlund has looked better so far and this could be a good move.

Also, who backhand tucked on the PK for the GWG last game to end the 7 game slide?

This is indeed a promotion. Kinda kidding?

Generally putting people with Backlund has helped them. Not a bad way to slot him in.
And just because that's how the lines start, doesn't mean that's how the game finishes.

We see only what gets tweeted. Sutter sees him for several hours a day, and talks to him every day.

I am going to go ahead and assume that Sutter - who has been managing players as a head coach for more than 20 years - has assessed Huberdeau's personality, and determined that pushing him hard is the right way to get him going.

Huberdeau seems like a strong and confident guy - I am confident that he isn't going to sulk and feel sorry for himself when the coach says he hasn't been playing well (when he hasn't)

Im not creating the stats, just clipping and pasting what others have. If you can find a site that does that, PM me the link.

I get Dube and Coleman being poor, but Lucic has done nothing to earn a slot on the 2nd line he shouldn't even be in the lineup these are puzzling moves when are you are trying to win.
Man you're a broken record on the Lucic thing.

Can't believe the extremes around this guy. His defenders and detractors are both out to lunch.

He's a fourth line guy with fourth line metrics that should be on the fourth line for sure.

But he's also a guy that has intangibles that suggest there's more going on when he gets ice time than a simple sort of goals and assists or even xGF% would defend.

For tonight I think this is a way to do a few things (not saying I agree with all of them)

1. Get Huberdeau back into the lineup
2. Bench a fourth liner
3. Try Dube up the middle to get him going
4. Balance the lines with the offence not chugging

Francis leaving half the quote off, to intentional create a controversy where one doesn't exist, is beyond bush league. He should be ashamed of himself for that. But he will think he is just doing his job.

Figured as much, but thought I would ask.

As for me finding a better source, I am an old luddite, and not the one to ask.

1. What is he supposed to do not play Huberdeau
2. Lucic got 2nd line minutes in the very win you speak of

Honestly, Ruzicka having chemistry with Lindholm and Toffoli might be a blessing.

I don't understand stacking the 4th line though. We can't score, spreading out the talent isn't a solution to that.

Ruzicka - Lindholm - Toffoli
Huberdeau - Kadri - Dube
Mangiapane - Backlund - Coleman

Ride those three lines hard.
