Rick, get well soon and I hope you and your family are getting all the support you need.
Thank-you for making Flames broadcasts so enjoyable. You make it sound so effortless, watching games with you sounds like watching with a good friend.

I had no idea.
All the best to the guy.
Honestly he's missed, it's a different feel for a Flames game when he's not making the call. Takes something pretty important away from the experience.
Hope he's back soon.

Rick is simply the best PBP guy in the league , understands the game and when to bring up the "tempo" be it for either team
Haven't heard a less biased PBP in years a joy to listen to.
Rest up get better and get back to work when your ready ,we miss you Rick

Still remember his "On the Ball with Rick Ball" segment on Kelowna radio back in the 90s. "That's on the ball. I'm Rick Ball!"
Get well soon Rick. The broadcast ain't the same without you.

It still blows my mind that we get Rick Ball for 60+ Flames games a season. It makes no sense. He's right there with Cuthbert as Sportsnet's best PBP guy yet he doesn't do national games.
He makes up for the 720p (what year is it?) feed.

Had a pulmonary embolism just over a year ago. Would never wish that pain upon anybody.
Wishing Rick the best, get well soon.
