Nice. Think Tre extension is the next one on the list. Then this team is set for the next few years with their win now window extended.

Tre's mic drop after an outstanding offseason.

Well deserved. The best coach this team has had since the last time he was coach of this team. After uncertainty lead to massive change I think the organization is looking to lock everyone up. Huberdeau, Kadri, Weegar, Sutter, with Treliving being next

Great way to cap it all off. To my knowledge, the flames have not leaked much coach contract info in the past but I would be very interested to know this one.

Should he be the highest paid coach in the league? Yes.

Will he be? Seems doubtful.

But to that end, I don't know who is at this point. I believe it was Babcock, and then Q, and then maybe Trotz? Is it Cooper now?

Whatever they are paying him, it is worth it.

Two years I assume and after that probably year to year depending on how the next three seasons go and his desire to retire.

As it should be. Darryl is not perfect, but he's one of the best coaches in the game, he's an Albertan and the guy is loyal to the organization.

Franchises and their fans should have an identity and he embodies this for the Flames. And my hope is Treliving has been here long enough now that he has enough cachet within the organization to be a check on Sutter when needed.

Good news, good to have a high calibre coach like Darryl Sutter. Treliving’s been having a busy summer. Owners must be happy.

How many years is this the extension though I wonder. Are these pre-season games revenue for the owners or does it all get added to the season? Might be why we see this extension now.

Stability. Players take note. He ain't going nowhere get used to it.

Hopefully Sutters softened enough to extend his shelf life as a coach players won't tune out.

Tre has a fire under his butt like I've never seen a manager before.
I havent seen anything like this since Michael Corleone settling all family business.

The players that have been brought in are here to win. Can't see it being an issue.

The reason I’m really excited about this extension is Sutter must really feel he has a legit chance at a cup in the next 3 years. I’m not convinced he signs an extension if he felt flames where trending in the wrong way. If Sutter believes , I believe!!!

Darryl Sutter should probably be the highest paid coach in the NHL, I wonder how much he is actually getting.

If he gets us a cup he should go down as the greatest coach of all time.

Huberdeau and Kadri are so driven! You can see it both in their interviews and on the ice. Huberdeau’s spin and burn breakout last night… he’s so ready to go. It’s such a refreshing scene. I’ve never been more excited for a season to start.

Regardless of on-ice performance, I'm delighted that Treliving has locked up several more years of top-notch pre and post-game interviews.
