Laine is a better goal scorer than Tkachuk

But he's Canadian so in a few years we get him after he refuses to re-sign there?

8.7M AAV? Seems really high for someone as inconsistent as Laine

Well, you could say that they're taking a one Laine road and seeing where that takes them

8.7M is super high for that term and someone who's one-dimensional.

He's awful defensively too.

Good for him, he'll inflate his #'s with JG and then someone will overpay him when he leaves in 4.

Barring injury he should be able to eclipse 50 goals on a regular basis playing with Gaudreau.

Regardless of who’s at centre I think Johnny is going to have a hard time even flirting with the +64 he put up last year; liane is a tire fire on half of the ice surface and the BJ’s don’t really implore that same tactful checking brand of hockey Sutter was known for. I think Johnny will see a surge in PP points but a decrease in his overall effectiveness 5v5.

Doesn't help that they have the pair of streakiest goalies in the league... or at least that's my impression from fantasy hockey over the past few seasons, haha.
