GERBER SNEAKS IN A 2ND START, REDEEMS SELF

Well he wasn't supposed to start, but he did. Martin Gerber after laying an egg against Quebec snuck in a second start against Minnesota, completely against the gameplan of GM Looooob.

"Hats of to Gerber" said Looooob " He shut out a good team". The dynamic rookie duo of Nilsson and Vrana provided the scoring for Buffalo, who still remain in very tough competition for a playoff spot.

The Avs scored six goals against the Thrashers and still managed to lose. It's their fifth straight loss after winning seven of eight games and closing to within three points of a playoff spot.
It's clear that Colorado needs to address its goaltender situation with both Legace and Shields sidelined due to injury.
Rumour has it that Legace is being shopped around, despite his breakout year.
If this losing streak doesn't end soon, all hope of making the playoffs this season will be lost.

Rangers 3 - Ducks 2

A real solid effort by the Rangers today, this was the 4th game in 4 nights and the boys were tired but they pushed hard and won a big game. Ray Whitney & Cory Stillman continue to have the hot hand while Glenn Murray collect his 22 goal of the year.
