while I agree the choice of home comparison is curious, it is also an LA versus EDM comparison- there would be no way I don't think to get a dollar per dollar win for LA over EDM in this scenario (although I agree OP was making that point)

I love his house! Wrong city, but it’s very nice. I like the clean, modern look.

How am I not surprised that Connor is a huge Friends fan?
I do like the house though.

I found it a bit amusing that they admit the outdoor spaces don't get used very much because it's too cold and they spend their summers in Toronto. I can't say its an awful house but it does feel a bit cold and sterile, could use some more color imo.

I think the house is lovely and I’m sure it represents their lifestyle, personality, and wants.

There are some similarities between the houses. The one in Socal has a chance of being burned to the ground by a grass fire. McDavid's has a certainty of being burned to the ground by a tire fire.
The design of McDavid's house looks good in photos but wouldn't be a very comfortable house to live in, IMO.

A well designed house should reflect its owner's personality. Nailed that part, at least!

Given how loaded we all are on CP.
We should post pics of our homes, starting with those who put themselves in the highest salary categories a couple of years back.

Yeah I don’t get it either. If you ever want to see weird homes look up some of those rich streamers and Youtubers places - they buy mansions and then live in them like 14 year old boys.

Lol, you mean having a fridge full of Mountain Dew, multiple candy jars, and cheap neon lighting doesn't class up the place?

I agree these lifestyles of the rich and famous threads suck, but mostly due to my envy lol.
I did learn a couple things though. Clearly the Flames paraphernalia at Johnny's place shows beyond a doubt he will sign long term as a Flame. Likely soon. Also, if I was blindfolded, I'd think McMelancholy's girlfriend/wife was Kevin Bieksa.

Build anything nicer there and you’re guaranteed to take a bath when you sell it…

Yeah just because you can afford something bigger doesn't mean it's smart to build it.
This thing is probably comfortably in that 3-4 million dollar wheelhouse where there are actually buyers that exist.

Considering Edmonton's track record towards former players I think Fire/Theft/Vandalism insurance coverage is more important to worry about than re-sale value.
Those premiums can be a bitch.
