Why can’t you just screen shot a hockey card. Why would anyone buy a physical card when you can take a picture of it

The links are broken so I still have no clue what an NFT is so I am going to say no, will not purchase.

It's not exactly the same, but think of it kind of similar to art.
Anyone can find any art they want on the internet and not spend a dime, yet museums/people pay millions upon millions to own certain pieces just for the sake of owning them and/or waiting for them to build on value.

Call me old (I don't mind), but I'll never understand why the world is investing so much, so quickly on these digital items (NFTs) that have no real actual, useful value other than "it's cool" and "I want one". It's just another version of art at the end of the day, and easily replicated.

You are correct. But like any market, there'll be people that see incredible value and people that see nothing but garbage.
Many will make more money in months than most people earn in a lifetime, while some will end up being the bag holders in the end having lost most/all of their investment.

Except if I buy an original painting, there is only 1 and I get to take it home.
If I buy an NFT of digital art, the only thing I get is a piece of code that says I own it. And not in the "I get royalties if anyone uses this" kind of own, just "Some guy on the internet says I own it" kind of way.
It's essentially the equivalent of paying to comment "First" on a youtube video.

The Flames are also introducing "Fire Boxes"
https://calgaryflames.raregoods.com/fire-box-details/
Quote:
Here are the four ways to earn a Flames Fire Box:
1. Purchase all six Commemorative Coins. This earns you a Fire Box that contains at least 1 Very Rare Puck.
2. Purchase all three 8 Bit Harveys. This earns you a Fire Box with three random Calgary Pucks.
3. Purchase all five Game Time pieces. This earns you a Fire Box that contains at least 1 Rare Puck.
4. Purchase at least one NFT from each of the three collections. This earns you a Fire Box with three random Calgary Pucks.

That is a horrible investment strategy. "I can make so much money! I just need to get out before the market collapses..."

100%. I'm not disagreeing at all. I'm saying that's what happens in cases where a new market is created, gets incredibly hyped up, and then dies.
I don't see that happening with NFTs, but that's what would end up happening if the market for NFT's does eventually die (which I personally don't think it will).

This is similar to the dotcom bubble and you're all missing out on easy money by flipping these things (NFTs).
Just don't be the last one holding the bag.

NFTs are going to be a great vehicle for money laundering.

Yup. This is one of, if not the biggest concern for the NFT market, and likely the biggest thing that could stand in the way of its growth in coming years, when/if significant regulations are put in place because of money laundering.
