That’s pretty horrible. I wish him the best.
Lingering side effects have been linked to COVID for well over a year now. It’s disappointing that some people are still refusing to take it seriously.

I'm having more and more trouble sympathizing with people who are willfully ignorant, which I believe represents the largest share of unvaccinated people.

I feel terrible for children who can't currently get the vaccine, but are still exposed because of other selfish adults not doing their part.

Previous generations went to war to fight fascism, and people today can't get a god damn life saving vaccine.

Whenever I read things like this I often wonder to myself....

"To what end? What is the purpose? Like...really?"

Its like when Flat-Earthers think the International Space Station is fake.

Really? Who would go to these lengths just for the laughs of it?

We are going through the worst Medical trials of our lives here. Nobody and I mean nobody cares about Trump this much. His wife and kids who appear to genuinely loathe him more than any other human on the planet would not do this.

It makes no sense.

Not to mention we aren't seeing smokers collapse the heathcare system...a system they subsidize with tobacco tax for 30-40 years before they burden it.

I am someone who doesnt react well to medication and most vaccines put me on my ass for a few days so I am careful about them, but I also deal with a lot of people so I get my vaccines regularly.

But the COVID vaccine? Easily....easily the easiest, most painless and simplest vaccine I've ever gotten or dealt with. It was basically a joke.

I have no understanding of the mental gymnastics people have gone through to convince themselves not to get it.

Mind bottling!
It really is nothing.

I had symptoms that were probably 90% attributed to self induced stress and went to bed and woke up right as rain. In fact I'd argue the first injection gave me a boost of energy for some time afterward. A couple friends had the same experience.

The second I got recently and I didn't even feel it this time, was in and out as fast as I'd run to the convenience store to grab a candy bar and was hiking the next day. Only thing I couldn't do was lift weights for a couple days. That's it.

The fuss over this vaccine is ridiculous. I am also highly sensitive to anything entering my system and it didn't disrupt my life at all. Meanwhile I get the mental security of being protected and having all privileges without needing to forge anything.

Its a tiny prick in the arm, like all those needles you got as an infant that were just standard procedure. It's not a lethal poison injection nor a suppression of your human rights.

Anti-vaxxers that don't have a medical reason to be so are just ####ing babies.

The risk of myocarditis for someone under the age of 20 is 450 in a million.
Why not just get vaccinated?

The first dose I didnt even get a band-aid because the needle is so small you dont even notice it.

Second dose they deigned to give me a band-aid, although I wasnt bleeding. What can you do?

I get the fear of needles. I dont have it myself, but it was so tiny you would never even notice and then you continue about your day.

You'll get a sore arm for a couple days. So what?

The mumps needle (i believe) 10 or 12 years back was 10000x worse as far as needle experiences go.

This was practically nothing. Like a mosquito.

Look away, start counting multiples of 7 or something and next thing you know you'll be getting nudged out the door for the next person.

The vaccine also is a major risk factor for myocarditis. Not saying he shouldn't get it but this could happen with covid and the vaccine.

Guys with myocarditis aren't collapsing the health care system. This isn't about the vaccine. This guy has a heart condition.

All I'm saying is let's show a little compassion. This guy has a family and wishing ill will on him on a forum is low no matter his life choices.

Because science, for all its marvels, does not deign to be written by an all-knowing, infallible sky grandpa, and some people really don't like that. Sometimes the evidence and recommendations change, and communicating that, along with the complex ideas that inform those changes, is really hard when you're talking to idiots. It assumes a level of trust and good will on the part academic and medical professionals that has been broken down by politics.

Well I don't know about those people, but infallible sky grandpa told me to not be a difficult moron and get my vaccine.

I can provide transcripts of the exchange if they want to write a new holy book.

I have very little sympathy for celebs with large social media followings spouting false information about Covid, how many has his words negatively affected that cause them to get sick or even die? at a 9-1 infection rate how many of those followers have spread this to others because they listened to him.

I refuse your request unless there is actual footage of you looking into the Magic Hat.
