I don't see the deal happening because of Lucic's NMC, and Zucker's 10 team NTC. If it goes through, I think the Flames get faster, and more dangerous offensively as a result. I also think it gives the team more options with Zucker, I think he can play in your top or bottom 6.

That doesn’t mean they offered Calgary anything . Plenty of trades this past week sending players with picks and nothing back. Even today fleury was traded for nothing.

If you get nothing for Lucic, and only recoup cap space, that is a massive win. Just do it.

I've been okay with Lucic, but if the Flames were to trade him on the day the Oilers buy out James Neal, that would be completely amazing.

Yes, but you don't enquire about someone (unsolicited) and then demand to take him for free, or better yet with picks added.

I've known people who tried to bargain that way. They tended to get punched a lot.

I like having Looch here but I can't help but think of how much softer than this we get by letting him go.

The Flames have zero heart as it is ......first Gio and now this.....FML .....for the life of me I want to understand how we are going to improve at all ? Getting rid of character players and leaders as a part of sending a message to a bunch of guys that fold under the teeniest amount of pushback baffles me.

The rumors about Tkachuk being told dial it back as well.

Well I guess we're going to be the easiest team in the league to push around and intimidate.....furthering this zero identity we seem to have even with Darryl here trying to change that.

I know this won't happen with Darryl as coach but come on FFS Bradley......better get busy .

We need a almost Norris quality D man to replace our captain and Near top D.

We need an facepuncher that can play actual hockey and maybe be a leader of sorts .... as the last thing I want on this team is some knuckle dragging Neanderthal like up north in mulletville.

Lucic brings a lot more to the table in the bottom 6 imo. I know I’ll be in the minority but I’d rather have Lucic over Zucker.
