Hey, let's cut kukkudo some slack. My grandmother knows Jack Eichel isn't going to keep playing for the Sabres, and she's been dead 36 years. It would be a very big surprise if they interviewed somebody who did not know that much.

Apropos of nothing, I will put on my clown hat and venture a hot take:

The Sabres will have a better record without Eichel next year than they had with him this year. They may not have better players next year, but they will be able to slot them in the lineup to try to win, instead of trying to keep Eichel happy.
