Parsons has had a tough time fitting into the AHL where in 27 games he has a GAA of around 4. The path for him to becoming the top-performing goalie in the system has not been clear at all for him. On top of his poor performance, he has had big time injuries.

3-4 years ago I was really pumped about him. Now, he is still a prospect, but a longshot. I'd say Wolf is the best goalie prospect in the organization right now.
Artem Zagidulin is probably better as well as he has done better in the AHL and doesn't have the injury history.

I hope Parsons pulls it all together, but he certainly is not on a clear path to the NHL.

Will Parsons even play this year? Is the ECHL going to play games?

Not many. Do people not grasp how it usually takes goalies longer to develop to an NHL level? Parsons is the most talented goalie prospect we have, even more than Wolf.

Yes we grasp it. Problem is Parsons has shown sweet #### all since turning pro. Maybe he's Bennington, maybe he's Gillies. I know what I'm betting on at this point.

I like how you state Parsons is more talented than Wolf like it's some undeniable fact. Parsons probably doesn't even get another contract lol.

Tyler Parsons is an extremely talented goalie. A shortage of skill was never the issue with him.

He was great in junior. So far it isn't translating. Maybe he isn't as talented as we'd all like. Sometimes guys aren't as good as they appear in junior. Some guys fail to progress at all. Some guys constantly get injured. Parsons is all three imo.

Parsons has been battling many personal demons, including anxiety and depression. As someone who battles the same things, I don't blame him at all for his stalled development. That said, he has a veritable mountain to climb to get back to where he needs to be IMO. He's behind Chechelev, Wolf, and Zagidullin.

I don't believe Parsons has had alcohol abuse issues, has he? He was very open about his mental health recovery dealing with depression and concussions, but I don't think there's been any reports of substance abuse.

I would think that Domingue will be part of the expanded roster, and the Heat will have Parsons and Zagidulin. Could be wrong though, we'll see.

No, you’re right-there’s nothing out there that says he had substance abuse issues. I felt iffy about it last night, so I looked for anything about that subject, and couldn’t find anything, so I edited my post. My apologies.
