That's just not true.

He was given multiple chances his first season here and never did anything with them. In fact at times it was easy to forget he was even playing. Over 50 games is more than fair to establish yourself.

Looks to be the classic NHL/AHL tweener cause he is not a good 4th line type and simply doesnt have enough game to play higher up.

Good on him for getting another deal though.

good luck to him... never found consistency, but one could say he didn't get a ton of chances either...

Oh right...I completely forgot he existed. No joke in that at all. Just didn't even register he was a free agent, nor do I care he signed anywhere else.

So who are those kids?

Honest question, not sure who's supposed to be ready.

I sure wish I could see Pelletier in the AHL. He might just be an early bloomer.

Glenn Gawdin is almost certainly NHL-ready at this point. I'd be stunned if he didn't play quite a lot of games this coming year. Decent-sized RHS who can play centre or wing.

On defense, Alex Yelesin and Connor Mackey will probably fight with Kylington for the sixth spot. I wouldn't be surprised to see Matthew Phillips and Dmitry Zavgorodniy get long looks in camp for bottom-six winger spots (they're also both RHS).

I think right now we're looking at this in the bottom six:

Lucic - Bennett - Dube
Gawdin/Phillips - Ryan - Robinson

He has an NHL shot. He has decent speed. Obviously not the biggest guy, but he can play. NYI could be a good fit.

He also did a lot in the community as well so it’s good to see him get signed.

I thought he was rather disappointing here. Had a few nice games, but really didn't impress for long at all - definitely not a consistent guy. I didn't see much upside in him. I actually thought Quine was the better overall player, but I also don't really care much that he too has moved on. Essentially just decent tweeners/replacement-level players IMO.

I thought he just wasn’t willing to engage in the corners or go to tough areas often enough. And that might be OK for a star like Gaudreau, but not for a tweeter.

I liked his style but we had too many soft players at the time.
