Freddy kept the team interesting in some rough times. But I remember picking up Tanguay the 1st time and feeling like it was a signal the Flames we’re finally adding some firepower. And was one of the few times a Flames trade for a skill player didn’t become a dud. Good in his second stint as well.

He’s also a very nice guy, despite some media surliness.

I love love LOVE Freddie (Freddie! Freddie!) Brathwaite, but the best #40 in Flames' history (so far!) is Tanguay.

So very tempted to pick Brathwaite, but had to go with Tanguay. Can I change my vote? Brathwaite stood on his head many times during the Young Guns era of the Flames. Too bad the teams back then couldn't score enough goals.

Tangs is also amazing to go alongside Iggy. This was a hard vote! I thought it'd be easy until I saw Brathwaite's name.
