Yeah, I don't get the argument about not having hockey on TV so you can spend time with family. People still have the TV on and are watching it, or at least having it on the background. That's what goes on with the NBA each year, and some years there's NFL games on as well.

As much as I demand to be entertained by grown men on skates chasing a rubber puck on a nightly basis, I guess they can have a night off to spend with their families.

I have no issue with Dec 24-25 off, but wouldn’t mind a handful of rivalry games on Dec 26 that would be easy to accommodate geographically (ex. Edm-Cgy, NYR-NJD, Pitt-Philly, Mtl-Bos - where if a flight is required, it is less than an hour)
