I'm a glutton for punishment and hare money, so if I won the $60M I'd buy an AJHL franchise and put it in Airdrie.

Is giving to the clerk that sold the ticket really a thing? Seems odd to me.

Me too. I guess if I bought a ticket from the same clerk every week I might.

If I won $60 million I’d pay off our children’s mortgages, max out the grandkids’ RESPs (partially funded now) and buy property in the Caribbean or Hawaii.

I’d give a lot to World Vision Canada, Samaritan’s Purse, the cancer foundation (charities we’ve supported in the past) and a charity we’ve supported that drills water wells in SE Asia where people have no clean, available potable water. I’d try to eradicate homelessness in my community and fund local food banks. I’d set up the Money Guy Scholarship for a couple of deserving university-bound students.

Then I’d have the biggest party you can imagine.

However, none of this will happen as I’ve never bought a lottery ticket.

If I won the main prize I would use part of the money to take care of those I love and who love and care about me and a portion to crush my enemies and those who were never there for me.

I'd give $5 million to each of my siblings and my parents.
$1 million to each of my parents siblings for them to distribute to their families.

Buy a luxury condo for my time spent in Canada. Probably just the summers.

Then I'd travel like a man possessed.
See every UNESCO world heritage site.
Try to hit every country on earth.
Travel North America in a motorhome.
Take a trip into space when that option becomes available to regular citizens.

I doubt I would buy a vacation property anywhere. I would like to keep moving around and its less of a hassle just to rent places as required.

I would keep working. I take this as a good sign I like my job. I would, however negotiate a lower salary in exchange for more vacation time.

Travel lots, make improvements to the house.

Give money to friends and family to live mortgage free and stuff.

Give money to causes I believe in.

This is the lamest thread in CP history. Not the OP’s fault, the responses.

Thread should be full of hookers and blow references, travel plans, dream purchases etc. Instead it’s all “I’d keep working” “I’d give to charity”. Booooo!

- buy a red NSX
- take picture of it, and post said picture when the Flames need a comeback
- use it to pick up hot gold diggers and do lines of blow off their ass instead because hookers are way gross
- buy a daily driver that isn't an NSX and use it as a project car with custom parts.
- drive it to the store and buy new pair of pants, maybe even a cashmere sweater
- invest in my own speaker business and score the audio install contract for the new Flames arena and have that be amazeballs
- buy a high-end 4K projector and build a kickass home theater room

really that's about it. i think that's like a million dollars worth of stuff at most. I'll prolly get around to most of it without the lottery. Except the blow. Gotta win a lottery to do that.

Well, in my case, I unexpectedly received $300 recently and decided it would go to a treat of some kind. But I have no idea what. So if I can't figure out what to blow that much on, a lottery win would be almost impossible.

I’d buy a green dress but not a real green dress.

Stuff I'd do if I won $60 million:
Take care of my family and give to some close friends.
Travel the world experiencing high-end first class services for airlines/hotels.
My wife and I are city people, so I'd do extended stays in cities like NYC, London, Paris, Sydney, Hong Kong...for a few months staying an luxury airbnb type places.
Go to concerts and sporting events around the world.
Drive or motorcycle across Europe through Russia into Asia.
Take a trip on the Orient Express, I've always wanted to do that.
Maybe eventually, I discover my passion, settle down somewhere and focus on that.
For sure, any jackpot bigger than $5 million, I'm quitting my job and leaving the country.

First I’d put 55 million in a non redeemable 1 yr government bond to give myself time to plan how not to go crazy.

I quit my job as soon as the money is in hand. I buy houses for a bunch of friends and families. Then go traveling for six months trying to figure out a way to merge travel with kids school. That first year 5 million is just to waste on stupid things and hopefully get the wasteful spending out of me.

Hire 50 midgets, dress them as secret service agents and have them tactically point their water pistols in random direction while they surround me when I'm walking down the street.

Generously repay the amazing people who've helped me along my path.
Settle all my immediate families debts along with my own. Perhaps make my mom retire. Stubborn old boot would probably refuse anyhow.

Then, buy a house. Start a hobby like swordsmithing. Sell my wares at all the Highland Games and medieval festivals I can hit up.

Go to school for whatever. Become a mad scientist and threaten the world with....a threat only to be foiled by a British secret agent.

Buy a hairless cat to complete the evil genius look.

Rent all of the suites in the Cowboys tent during stampede and have the place empty for one night and the entire staff are served by a few Lucky customers. I swear we won't vomit on you....much.

What, you mean "I'd max out the grandkids’ RESPs, WHICH I MIGHT ADD ARE ALREADY PARTIALLY FUNDED" wasn't an exciting answer?
