Nathan MacKinnon has 111 points in his last 82GP, exactly as many as Connor McDavid in his last 82 - yet doesn't play as many minutes as Connor McDavid.
To be fair, MacKinnon's supporting cast is miles better than McDavid's. The start that MacKinnon-Landeskog-Rantanen line has had is definitely something else though. MacKinnon and Rantanen with 9-game point streaks to start the year.
I think the Kings have plenty of concerns at this point. It's early but they look like they could be that surprise team that totally bombs into lottery territory.
I expect LA to find their game at some point, and will be in the playoff mix when it matters, vs. totally bombing into lottery territory. It's less than 10 games played so far and they're a veteran team. They'll find their legs soon enough.
Crosby broke his scoring slump with a crappy empty net tap in against the Oilers...
Just in case someone missed it...

Why would you think that?
The Kings are slow, cannot score, old and just getting older. This is not much different from how this team has looked for a couple years now. They made the playoffs in 2017 thanks in large part to a blistering start, but their unsurprising, unceremonious exit in four games was entirely typical of what LA has been for quite some time now. The Kings are not a playoff team.

Exactly what is McDavid doing there? At least the others were trying to stop Crosby (and failing). McDavid is coasting in no man's land just staring - not covering another guy, not even flying the zone to get a pass if Crosby loses the puck.

I am not so quick to write off the King's. I think they will be there at the end battling for the 7th to 10th spots.
They have three of the nhl's best at their position in
Quick
Doughty
Kopitar
Carter is one of the most clutch players in the last decade
A good portion of their roster has cup rings
They are definitely seeing their window closing, but they'll be there at the end, in my opinion.
