did you forget the green text?
god forbid people have a little personality.
it got some attention to the team and to the league, if nothing else.
and for something fun and goofy and not a negative.
heck look at MLB. they've even jumped on the beard bandwagon.

I loved Thornton's beard. Burns on the other hand.. too messy and unkempt.
One looked like a Civil War General (or a 'buddy' of Rick Harrison's on Pawn Stars, minus the stupid hat). The other looks like someone you would see on 'COPS'.

I love beards, and I'm always super jealous when it's minus eleventy billion degrees outside in the wind. Good upkeep makes them more appealing but I honestly don't care. Long Live the Beard.

A little part of the beard's soul died that night Kadri and Thornton fought. It was never the same. RIP beard.

The only problem I have with these pieces of follicular performance art is that they nullify the impact of the playoff beard. When everyone starts out from zero, you truly get to see who's got the A-level beard game.
I'll also say, as long as you have a long crazy beard, you can have long crazy hair. Nothing looks more bizarre to me than someone rocking the full Dumbledore with normal length hair up top. Either go long, or go bald - no half measures.
Post script. If you're a man over the age of 25 who has so much hair you can put it in a bun, cut your ####ing hair.

Same. I actually really like both Thornton & Burns' beards, and I think it's funny following the bromance they've developed over it. Clean shaven is boring. Long live the beard, indeed.

I really dig it when beards start to take on grey in certain places, like Joe's and Nick Offerman's in Cali's avatar. I also loved Colbert's beard, not sure if he still has it. Beards beards beards!
I agree with the comment that it takes away from the playoff beard, but only slightly. I also looooooove Mo'vember. <3 <3

The only people that hate thier beards are jealous.
A) they can't grow one
B) There work wont allow it so they hate some one is allowed at the job
C) They are whipped and they cave to their girlfriends/wives. In that case your girlfriend / wife dont actually reapect you.
D) too ####ing lazy to do the up keep.
E)some dick that relates a beard like that to some slobby hobo. A vain mother ####er that needs to be clean shaven and wear the latestest treads and a beard is just screams of poor and dirty.

I'm Asian, so I can tell you right now I won't ever be able to grow a beard. And yes, I do wish I can grow a full beard.
Having said that, I still think the Thornton beard was awful. Just not a fan of the unkept hobo duck dynasty looking type beard. There's ways to make a beard look glorious, and the ZZ Top look just doesn't look good to me.

If you feel that way could stop hating the Sharks.
