He's only the Rangers top d-man.
He's not a real #1 or 2 d-man and I don't think he ever will be. This is a huge risk for a guy with barely more than 2 years of NHL service that hasn't proven that much yet.
This is $1-$1.5M per year too much for a guy of where he's at right now. Brady Skjei is decent but he's not THIS sort of AAV good and doesn't deserve this much money.
