I don't mean to be that guy so apologies to Puppet Guy, I love your contributions throughout the year and you're a solid poster but I don't think we need "the healing to begin" from the Flames season. It's only a game.

Healing is something the town of Humboldt, the Broncos players and families and the entire SJHL is going to have to do for months and years to come.

Again, apologies, maybe I shouldn't have put this in the GDT, but I just had to get that off my chest.

That's being over dramatic. Yes what happened to the Broncos players is absolutely awful. But it's a GDT. Not everything that's said has to be related to that incident. Hes being sarcastic.

Vegas is going to the playoffs in a home ice berth with a guy named 'Whitecloud' on their top pairing...

Coaching, systems and a cohesive team identity have never been so relevant.

I wonder what kind of reception the player salute to the crowd at center ice after the game will go?

Come on Flames show some effort, repair your give a damn, and restore some semblance of pride and team identity.

I was hoping they'd find some way to get Kylington into a game.

It can only happen if one of the defensemen is injured.

I believe he was insinuating that this team needs some 'Tonya Harding....'

Ok. Thanks. I'll tell that to my buddy who coached 8 of those kids at various points in their lives through Minor hockey and is friends with their parents.

The League suffers from enough conspiracy and PR issues as it is without teams and coaches encouraging this kind of stuff. Sure, it would be fun for fans, but if this is something that started to occur with some regularity it would make it even more difficult than it already is to take the NHL seriously.

Fair enough. I was kidding but I see it.

Theres no sense throwing kids into the deep-end though.

This is Troy Brouwer's time to shine! Pad the stats!

What? Why would you do that??

My sincere condolences—it sounds like you were personally affected by this terrible tragedy. But there are hundreds of us who can only sympathize from a distance, and have other stuff going on in our lives that has no relevance to what happened in Saskatchewan. We can be empathetic and sincerely saddened by what happened (and I am truly very, very sorry for your grief) without it consuming every other aspect of our day. It sucks that you cannot, but it doesn't entitle you to cast aspersions upon others for not feeling your pain.

No disrespect was intended I'm sure. It's quite possible that some peoples' reactions to events like this are "for life around them to go on as is", since this helps maintain a grounding for them.

Is this the first game Jankowski is going to play 5 on 5 with Gaudreau?

I wonder how many of those players are playing their last game as a Flame?

I haven’t gone to either of the last 2 games. The Oilers win was a nice highlight to end a dismal season. I was fortunate to end my record at the Dome at 11-10-1 this year which is better than a lot of people I would assume.

Next time I at the Dome it will be to listen and potentially confront management about the season and the summer.
