have prevented Matt Stajan from reaching 1000 games at the expense of a season where we have no draft picks.

have beaten the POS Oilers more than once in a blue moon.

have seen what almost everyone on this forum has been seeing for two years.

have had an ounce of an ability to motivate the team.

have given the team an identity.
This is such hyperbole. Who's career did GG "waste"? Maybe its on Brodie to play smarter and not ruin him.

Yep and wasting Gio as he is approaching his post-apex years.

Yeah, I thought the whole point of making a coaching change was to upgrade and not downgrade.

When they hired him they said they wanted someone who would grow with the team. Well, a few players have seen individual growth but the team as a whole hasn't. I could argue that those players would see that growth regardless of who was coaching them.

Oh right, we had Jagr on our team this year...

What a waste of a good year. I blame this entire season's failures on Gulutzan.

I mostly hope he leaves so I can stop reading the name "GlueGun".

^^

This, If there is one thing I have learned from CP over the last couple of seasons, it is that the users here come up with the worst possible mock nicknames ever.

I can understand. We need some time. But what is happening now is the absolute worst thing that can happen.

We're going to miss the playoffs. Barely. And we dont have draft picks until the 4th round?

Treliving can literally skip the entire first day of the draft.

Yeah, its pretty dystopian around here. Even for a fanbase that is pretty experienced and battle-hardened in terms of disappointments, this one seems to hurt more than most.

I'm sure some effort will be made to acquire picks in some of the earlier rounds. Whether they actually succeed in acquiring any or not will depend on the acquisition cost, though...

I'm hoping to see some draft day activity, myself

Brad better be active on draft day because it will be a fail if we don't get a pick or two. It's also an opportunity to trade for a RW.

I'm sure you're both right. But in exchange for what/who?

Is there anyone we're shopping? I mean, right now Gulutzan supporters are blaming this season on lack of talent and in the meantime all of the more or less established talent blew this season out of the water.

Who are we going to trade? Lazar? Woo...

And I say that as someone who likes Lazar, I just used him as an example.

Ultimately, I dont want to start trading people, I think this team is actually capable of success but was set up for failure this season.

And yes, I understand I'm technically inherently including Brouwer in there.

I dont know what kind of magic Treliving can conjure up at the draft, but if he manages anything of any substance he might literally be a Wizard.
