If the Flames go 6-3-1 for the next 10, they'll be sitting in a playoff spot and probably a 50/50 shot of making the playoffs.

Not being one of the worst teams in the league on home ice would sure help their chances.

Ya these numbers don't really mean much yet. There is so much parity in the west right now. Pretty much everyone battling for the wild card spots are around the same odds. We have two games in hand on both Dallas and Anaheim, and we're 5 and 4 points back, respectively. Are we a shoe-in to make the playoffs? Far from it. Is it as bleak as most of the people on here are making it seem? Not even close.
